Cannamore Orchard and Vinyl Expressions

sparklingexpressions is thrilled to announce that this Autumn, we will be setting up this coming Halloween Season at the Home of the Spooky Wagon Ride! That's right, Cannamore Orchard, located in Embrun Ontario. Cannamore Apple Orchard is well known for their apples (prepicked as well as pick your own) and their spooktacular wagon ride. They have a complete Halloween themed town set up to entertain, thrill and scare you. Evenings are for those older visitors looking for thrills, fun and screams while afternoons are for the younger crowd, or those not looking to be scared out of their wits. Cannamore Orchard offers many other attractions as well as many other garden items for sale as well. This year will the first time that Cannamore has opened the doors for crafters and vendors to take part as well, and sparklingexpressions is happy to hop aboard the Spooky Wagon and join in on the fun.

If you have never been to Cannamore I urge you to take the time to visit their website (linked up above) and read all that they have to offer and to learn about their history, it is quite intriguing and inspiring. You can even find short video clips on youtube as well! This Halloween season there will truly be something for anyone and everyone at Cannamore Orchard.

sparklingexpressions will be on hand from Saturday October 6th as well as Sunday from 12pm-4pm, and we will be there every weekend after for the month of October. We are excited about meeting everyone and sharing our story with everyone who comes out for the afternoons. the orchard can be found at Cannamore Orchard 1480 County Road 32, Embrun, Ontario K0A 1R0

We will also have our glitter tattoo's on hand and will make sure to have plenty of Halloween, pumpkin and scary themed glitter tattoo designs to pick from as well as the normal assortment we offer. We look forward to seeing you there!

Murray's Furniture And Flea Market Going Strong

The sparklingexpressions display booth at Murray's Furniture and Flea Market in Carleton Place Ontario is a constantly changing display of both information on sparklingexpressions, as well as crafts made from our lettering and vinyl decals.  Our booth has generated quite a significant amount of interest this last few weeks and has inspired us to add even more to our display. We also have plans to add season and holiday inspired crafts as well. We thank everyone who has taken the time to drop by and take a look at what we have to offer and to those who have made purchases. Thank you very much, and please remember the mini bookmarks are always free and there are many to pick from.

Arnprior's 5th Annual Wellness and Craft Show

sparklingexpressions will be out in the Ottawa Valley this coming weekend. We look forward to spreading our story and introducing others to sparklingexpressions.  Saturday September 29th, 2012 sparklingexpressions will be in the town of Arnprior, for the 5th annual Wellness and Craft Show. The event takes place at the Nick Smith Centre located at 77 James Street, and runs from 10am till 5pm. Over 30 exhibitors and vendors will be on hand for this years wellness and craft show.

Donations for the Arnprior food bank will also be accepted and admission is free. If you are in the area and looking for something fun to do, then please drop on by and see what everyone has to offer. Should be a great day full of fun.

sparklingexpressions makes the news

sparklingexpressions had a great weekend last week and as you know we attended the fairies in the park event hosted at the St Lawrence Park in Brockville, Ontario. This was a very successful event and attracted all sorts of visitors young and old. It also attracted local media and sparklingexpressions can be seen in a local news clip. We are seen at about 7 seconds into the video and you can even see Nicky applying a glitter tattoo to a happy little fairy.

We just wanted to share this little clip for those friends, family and customers who like to follow our adventures here on our blog. We are quite thrilled to have had this opportunity to make the news (albeit a small cameo) and we are quite happy that a wonderful event such as the fairies in the park received even more exposure. Next years event will be a must attend event for sure!

Murray's Furniture and Flea Market Opening Day a Success

The Grand Opening day for the Flea Market held at Murray's Furniture and Flea Market in Carleton Place has come and gone. Between 200-400 visitors came through the doors and took part in the opening day festivities. The ribbon cutting, town reeve,  BBQ's, vendors inside and out, as well as media coverage was all on hand for what could not have been a better opening day on a beautiful sunny September Saturday. As many of you know, we were not able to attend the opening festivities for this new flea market venture due to conflicting events scheduled, but we were there in spirit and had a little information booth set up. To our surprise when we took a Sunday drive to visit, we were pleasantly greeted by a thinner booth and setup to find that sales had been made for sparklingexpressions. The community support and the atmosphere at the flea market is one of excitement and fun. It truly is a friendly and family orientated community showcasing many small family run businesses. We took a walk through the indoor section to see the wide variety of wares, crafts, antiques and goods for sale. We even made some purchases ourselves! We would like to offer congrats to Shannon, Patrick, Joyce, Vicki and Matthew on a successful opening weekend. Great Job!

A few sparklingexpressions crafts on hand for opening day

If you are looking to visit the flea market, you have 6 days every week to check it out. Mondays they are closed but Tuesday through to Sunday you can find many of the great treasures to be offered. Saturday and Sundays the outdoors vendors set up to give you an even bigger selection of goodies to look through. Many of the crafters and vendors can also be found inside the store throughout the week to offer detailed information on their wares, and services, so you never know what you may find. Come stop by sometime and keep an eye on the sparklingexpressions booth setup inside the flea market, we will be adding new things to it often.

Fairies, Glitter Dust and Fun

Fairies in the park was a fun success, as the city of Brockville was turned into a magical land fulled with fairies. The St Lawrence Park was visited by hundreds of visitors and little fairies all dressed up in glitter, wings and wands. To say the day was a success, is a understatement. The smiles and fun that was spread all about the park, was priceless to see. sparklingexpressions was thrilled to have had the opportunity to take part in all this glittery fun. And speaking of glittery fun, we had a great time applying glitter tattoo's and adding our own fairy dust to this wonderful day. Close to 40 little fairies had some glitter applied in various artistic designs. Unfortunately we were overwhelmed with the excitement and demand for glitter tattoo's we did not have an opportunity to snap many pictures of the event.

Murray's Furniture and Flea Market in Carleton Place

sparklingexpressions will now have a permanent display and information booth in Carleton Place, Ontario, at Murray's Furniture and Flea Market. Not to be confused with the former Carleton Place Flea Market. (now known as the CP Vendor's Market) The grande opening of this new flea market will be this weekend at the home of what used to be known as just Murray's Furniture which is also known as the "Sears store". Space at the store is limited and has been filling up fast with anticipated vendor's coming in all week to set up and get ready for the opening day. (Could very well be sold out now) There will also be vendor's set up outside the store in fine flea market fashion. This new flea market in Carleton Place will also be open 7 days a week year round with indoor vendors proudly displaying their wares on a more permanent basis. The outside vendors will be on Saturday's. So if you are looking to find collectibles, jewelry, antiques, furniture or perhaps looking at decorating your home or office with vinyl lettering and decor, then this will be a must visit attraction. The array of items and treasures to be found and had should be plenty.

As many of you know, we will be in Brockville this coming weekend and have been hard at work preparing for that event, but we have gotten information set up for you to pick up at our information booth inside the Murray's Furniture and Flea Market store. In the coming weeks we will be updating our display there to give even more information, including a catalogue to order from. We will also be displaying and selling crafts made with our vinyl decals and we welcome you to come take a look at our other offerings at this new flea market.

Brockville Fairies in the Park

This weekend is the Fairies In The Park event in Brockville Ontario. If you are looking for something fun to do and will be in the area why not come on out and say hi. There will be a lot of fairy dust, glitter, tutus,  wings and wands to be had. Fun for the whole family! The Brockville Fairies in the Park event will be held tomorrow on September 15th, 2012 at the St Lawrence Park in Brockville from 10am till 5pm. 

sparklingexpressions will be on hand to take part in the fun and to share our story of who we are. We look forward to meeting and sharing our story with you. We have been hard at work these last few days putting together our display and lining up our glitter tattoo's that we will be using for this event. 2012 Fall Mom To Mom Sale

September 22, 2012 is the date of the Fall Mom To Mom Sale in Carleton Place Ontario. This event will host 50+ tables of gently used children's items, plus crafters and other local businesses. Admissions is $1 or a food donation to the Lanark County Food Bank. The Mom to Mom Sale opens at 9am and goes till 1pm at the Carleton Place Arena. sparklingexpressions will be in attendance, and we look forward to meeting many new people and sharing the sparklingexpressions story with you. (or perhaps a glitter tattoo or a free mini bookmark) So if you are looking for something to do on a beautiful fall morning or afternoon in the Carleton Place area, this Fall Mom to Mom event is just for you.

Fairies in the park

sparklingexpressions is thrilled to announce that we will be in attendance at the Fairies In The Park event on September 15th, 2012 at the St Lawrence Park in Brockville Ontario from 10am till 5pm. The St Lawrence Park will be filled with fairies young and old. There will be many, wearing tutus and fairy wings, along with fairy dust, wands and light heartened fun. sparklingexpressions will be on hand to supply some glitter dust and sparklies via glitter tattoo's. These colourful tattoo's are for both the young and old so come on out and let us tattoo you.

Other performances to be held, are the Fairy house building workshop, Fairy photo booth, Mayan Bean Readings, A performance by Dreamlight Productions, Crafts and other Vendors selling fantasy themed wares. For more information on this event please visit the New Leaf Wellness site.
